Social Media Applications as an International Tool for the Development of English-Language Communicative Competencies

The aim of the article is to determine effectiveness various international tools designed develop students’ English-language communicative competencies. Several scientific methods were used: observation, testing, experimental training etc. Statistical processing data obtained during pedagogical experiment was carried out, visualization with use graphic method applied. description and verbal recording results study confirm its effectiveness. During research, out social media applications for development foreign language competence in second-year students groups G1, G2. Observations testing while developing writing e-mails creating videos TikTok English. educational platforms, programmes, Internet resources also used accordance goals topics sessions. practical prove advantages certain acquisition components competences (CCC). G1 demonstrated a standard procedure acquiring linguistic, socio-cultural CCC “lag” regional geography component. In G2 group, higher levels observed most cases. Mostly positive markers Communicative Competences at medium (344.1 points, 69.8% respondents) sufficient level (371.0 75.8% respondents). Promising “growth points” identified. directions concerning further developments progressive are highlighted.
